Victoria University Polytechnic is working towards including drone technology into its construction courses and on-site studies. During a recent open day at the polytechnic, in Hoppers Lane, Werribee, the Institute for Drone Technology’s chief executive Dr Joel Spencer gave a presentation on his organisation’s work with Victoria University. “We are partnering with them to look at ways in which drone technology can be incorporated into the construction industry,” Dr Spencer said. The Institute for Drone Technology secures grant from the Victorian Government's Workforce Training and Innovation Fund. AMC Search, the commercial arm of the Australian Maritime College, and The Institute for Drone Technology™ have signed a memorandum of understanding to bring drone technology training into the maritime training environment.
